About Me
I’m an impressionistic artist and my paintings are painterly and soft. The beauty is in the brushwork; each stroke capturing the image of the subject.
Since picking up a paintbrush in 2003, I've cultivated my artist talent through various influences, crafting my distinctive painterly, impressionistic style with guidance from acclaimed artists like Egi Antonaccio and Sue Lyon.
Currently, I'm under the mentorship of Sharon Grubbs, I make a habit of painting daily, often with my faithful bulldog Friday by my side. Though rooted in Winston-Salem and currently residing there with my husband Kirk, my upbringing in Las Vegas has potentially influenced my penchant for vibrant colors that now define my work. Specializing in portraits, landscapes, and still lifes, I enjoy the challenge of capturing the essence of my subjects and expressing emotion through color.
Actively involved in art societies like Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionist Society, I have displayed my art in various local and regional exhibitions. With a academic foundation in psychology and sociology from Salem College, I enjoy balancing my artistic pursuits with leisurely activities like golfing, reading, and exploring new destinations through travel.
